Terms of use

The essentials: Renace is a personal transformation programme in app form. It isn’t a medical or psychological service and doesn’t replace a professional. It’s free. What you write is yours.
What Renace is
Renace is a personal transformation programme in app form, created by Maryana Morgado, creator of Renace. It offers a journey in stages that you walk step by step, with tools that complement it and a conversation with artificial intelligence (Compass).
By using Renace you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
What Renace isn’t
Renace is a tool for reflection and wellbeing. It isn’t a health service: it doesn’t offer diagnoses, treatment or therapy, and doesn’t replace a doctor, psychologist or other professional. Nor is it an emergency service. If you’re in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number or a crisis line.
Who can use it
To use Renace you must be at least the minimum age in your country to consent to the processing of your data (14 in Spain, 16 in much of the European Union, 13 in the United States). The app is designed for adults.
Compass and artificial intelligence
Compass and other sections generate responses with artificial intelligence. Those responses may contain mistakes or not fit your situation. Use them as one more way of looking at what you’re living, not as professional advice, and don’t make important decisions about your health, money or legal matters based on them alone.
Your account
You can use Renace without an account. If you create one, keep your sign-in details safe: you’re responsible for what’s done with it. You can delete it whenever you like under Me → Settings.
What you write is yours
Your notebook, your conversations and what you save are yours. You only give us permission to store and process them as needed for the app to work (keeping them, giving them back to you and using them in Compass), as explained in the privacy policy.
Messages in a bottle
Bottles are kind, anonymous messages for other people in Renace. When you write one, you agree it won’t contain anything offensive or harmful, personal data (phone numbers, emails, social handles, addresses), links or advertising. A filter reviews them before they’re sent, and we may withdraw any that break these rules or that someone reports. By sending one, you allow us to deliver it to another person as you wrote it.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Renace for anything illegal, to harass other people, to try to access data that isn’t yours or to interfere with the app or the server. If someone does, we may limit or close their access.
Renace’s content
The chapter texts, readings, affirmations, illustrations (including Blacky the cat), design and the Renace brand belong to their authors. You may use them personally within the app and share quotes with the share buttons, but not copy them for other purposes without permission.
Free
Renace is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If this ever changed, we’d tell you beforehand and nothing would be charged without your express consent.
Changes and availability
Renace keeps improving: we may add, change or remove features. We try to keep it always working, but there may be interruptions or errors. If we change these terms in an important way, we’ll let you know in the app.
Liability
We take great care with Renace, but the app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect damages arising from its use or for decisions you make based on its content. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, you keep the rights, and the option to go to the courts where you live, that the law of your country gives you.
